Abstract
Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public
health concern globally, particularly in regions where socio-economic factors,
healthcare infrastructure, and comorbidities intersect. Fergana Valley in
Uzbekistan is no exception, grappling with a high burden of TB, further
complicated by the increasing prevalence of diabetes. This article delves into the
risk factors associated with pulmonary tuberculosis among people with diabetes
in Fergana Valley and explores preventive measures that can be implemented to
mitigate the impact of this dual health challenge.
