Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) and diabetes mellitus (DM) are two
formidable health challenges that intersect, presenting a complex scenario for
individuals, communities, and healthcare systems. In Uzbekistan, specifically in
the Fergana Valley, the coexistence of pulmonary tuberculosis and diabetes
demands thorough examination to understand the unique risk factors and
implement effective prevention strategies. This article delves into the intricate
relationship between diabetes and pulmonary tuberculosis in Uzbekistan,
emphasizing risk factors and proposing preventive measures tailored to the
region.
