Abstract

This paper examines the role of Information and Communication
Technology in English Language Teaching, highlighting both the opportunities and
challenges it presents. ICT has transformed traditional language learning by offering
innovative tools for teaching, expanding access to diverse resources, and promoting
interactive and collaborative learning experiences. However, its integration into ELT
also presents challenges, including the need for adequate teacher training, concerns
over the digital divide, and the risk of excessive dependence on technology. By
exploring these opportunities and challenges, this paper aims to provide insights into
how ICT can be effectively utilized to enhance English language education.
