Abstract

Adenotomy, the surgical removal of the adenoids, is a common procedure
performed in children with recurrent adenoid hypertrophy or related respiratory
issues. While it provides relief from obstructive symptoms such as nasal breathing
difficulties, snoring, and recurrent infections, it may lead to developmental changes
in the oral cavity, particularly affecting the dental and facial structures. This article
explores the importance of orthodontic rehabilitation in children who have
undergone adenotomy.
