Abstract

The article discusses the improvement and experimental testing of theoretical grammatical
competences in English of future specialists in higher educational institutions of the philological
direction. In this process, such tasks as studying and analyzing research on teaching English
grammar, developing a methodology for improving students' theoretical grammatical competence
in English, and experimentally testing the methodology for improving theoretical grammatical
