Abstract
This article examines the phenomenon of language contact and borrowing, exploring how interaction between languages leads to the incorporation of vocabulary across linguistic boundaries. The discussion focuses on the primary causes of language interaction: trade, immigration, and invasion. Through historical and modern examples, this article highlights how these interactions result in the adoption of foreign lexicons and linguistic features. Additionally, the article considers the long-term effects on the structure and evolution of languages.
