ZONES OF SETTLEMENT AS AN INDICATOR OF SCATTERED GOLD ACCORDING TO ALOS PALSAR DATA (NORTHERN NURATAU).

Abstract

The possibility of using ALOS PALSAR radar data in conjunction
with GIS analysis to identify sedimentary material accumulation zones promising
for placer gold formation was considered. Analysis of the drainage network and
the morphometric characteristics of the relief allowed for the identification of
areas confined to channel and floodplain forms. The obtained results can be used
in regional forecasting and selection of priority areas for exploration work
