Abstract

The interconnectedness of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, biliary system, and
oral cavity suggests that systemic diseases often manifest with altered oral
immunological responses. This study investigates the oral immunological status in
patients presenting with combined gastrointestinal and biliary system pathologies
and correlates these findings with the prevalence and severity of dental diseases.
The research analyzes key immunological markers in saliva and crevicular fluid,
including the levels of cytokines (e.g., TNF-α, IL-6, IL-10), immunoglobulins (IgA,
IgG), and the presence of specific immune cells.
