PRIORITY GOALS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY

Abstract

This article analyzes the priority objectives of sustainable development
of the pharmaceutical industry at the regional level and the mechanisms for
achieving them. The study examines the economic and social significance of the
pharmaceutical sector, effective use of local raw material resources, development
of research and innovation activities, improvement of production efficiency, and
expansion of market and export opportunities. Using the example of Surkhandarya
region, the impact of investment processes in the pharmaceutical industry on
employment and export potential is assessed.
