Abstract
This article presents an experimental study on the composition of waste generated during the initial cleaning process of cotton. Industrial trials conducted on the UXK-type cleaning system determined the amount of waste and the proportion of cotton particles within it. The analysis results indicated that a certain amount of fiber is lost during the cleaning process. Based on the data obtained, recommendations for reducing these losses are presented
