Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PBL) has become one of the most effective studentcentered
approaches in modern English language teaching. It emphasizes active
participation, collaboration, problem-solving, and the practical application of
language skills in meaningful contexts. Instead of relying solely on traditional
grammar-focused instruction, PBL encourages learners to use English as a
communication tool while completing authentic tasks and projects. This article
explores the theoretical foundations of project-based learning, its advantages in
English language education, and practical strategies for classroom implementation.
The study concludes that PBL significantly improves learners’ motivation,
communicative competence, critical thinking, creativity, and autonomous learning
skills
