Abstract
This study explores the psychological impact of Gothic elements in literature on young readers aged 12-18. Employing a mixed-methods approach, we analyzed the emotional and cognitive responses of adolescents to Gothic fiction through surveys, psychological assessments, and focus group discussions. Results indicate that Gothic elements can significantly influence the fear responses, empathy levels, and cognitive development of young readers
