Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed the global business environment, creating new opportunities for electronic commerce (ecommerce). Modern digital solutions such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, blockchain, big data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and mobile technologies have significantly improved business processes, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. This study explores the impact of digital technologies on the development and management of e-commerce by examining their role in enhancing business performance, customer satisfaction, supply chain optimization, and digital marketing. The paper also discusses the major challenges faced by organizations during digital transformation, including cybersecurity threats, technological infrastructure limitations, data privacy concerns, and workforce competency issues. Furthermore, practical recommendations are provided for organizations seeking to strengthen their digital capabilities and improve competitiveness in the rapidly evolving digital economy. The findings indicate that successful implementation of digital technologies enables companies to increase productivity, reduce operational costs, expand market reach, and achieve sustainable competitive advantages. The research concludes that digital transformation has become a strategic necessity for organizations operating in the global e-commerce marketplace.
