Abstract
This article analyzes the issue of shaping adolescents' perceptions
of sports activities and examines the extent to which this topic has been explored in
local psychological research. Drawing on scientific sources, it highlights the
psychological characteristics of adolescence and the role sports play in fostering
interest in athletic activity, motivation, value systems, and the formation of career
orientations. Furthermore, the article analyzes research conducted by local
psychologists regarding the impact of sports on personality development,
specifically concerning the cultivation of volitional qualities, emotional stability,
social adaptation, and a healthy lifestyle.
