Abstract

This research addresses the vulnerability of higher education
institution (HEI) corporate networks, where traditional stateful firewalls fail to
detect modern cyber threats hidden inside permitted ports. The study aims to
design a dynamic network security model for HEIs by leveraging Deep Packet
Inspection (DPI) within Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
