Abstract

This article provides information on the effect of sowing dates and norms on leaf development in lentil cultivars. According to our experiment, when the Oltin don and Darmon cultivars of lentils are planted in 3 different sowing dates (autumn, spring and summer) and 3 different sowing norms (2, 3, 4 million unit/ha). The most number of leaves was observed at the norm of 2 million unit/ha in one plant according to the planting standards, 64.2 and 69.9 pieces was observed in the autumn period according to the sowing dates respectively, according to the varieties. At this sowing norm, the number of leaves was the highest in the following periods: in spring – 57,2 and 62,5, in summer – 37,7 and 41,2 pieces. As sowing normss increased, the number of leaves per plant decreased.
