Abstract

This article presents that the effect of sowing dates and norms on the leaf surface per plant in lentil varieties. According to our experiment, the largest leaf in one plant when the Oltin don and Darmon cultivars of lentils are planted in 3 different sowing dates (autumn, spring and summer) and 3 different sowing norms (2, 3, 4 million unit/ha) the surface was observed at the norm of 2 million unit/ha according to the planting standards, and was observed in the autumn period according to the sowing  dates and was 120,9 and 121,7 cm2 plant respectively. At this sowing norm, the leaf surface was the highest in the following periods: in spring – 113,1 and 116,0, in summer – 92,5 and 93,1 cm2 /plant. As sowing norms increased, the leaf surface per plant decreased.
