Abstract

In This article presents the theoretical and methodological foundations for the formation of media literacy of students. The concepts of media, media education and media literacy are defined. The main features of media literacy are revealed in the context of a competency-based approach to education. On the basis of pedagogical data, the author studied and analyzed the features of the development of media literacy in the information society in accordance with the available scientific literature.
