Abstract

Premature birth (PR) is not only a medical, but also a socially significant problem. The relevance of the topic of premature birth is beyond doubt among scientists around the world, primarily because of the significant contribution to the indicators of perinatal morbidity and mortality. The frequency of preterm birth on earth varies from 5 to 18% and has no tendency to decrease over the past 20 years [24, p. 21; 36, p.44; 87, p.10;]. PR increases perinatal mortality by 4 times, the morbidity of newborns by 3 times, and in 40-70% of cases is the cause of death of newborns.
