Abstract
A significant place in cotton research is occupied by diploid
Afro-Asian and Indochinese cotton species of Gossypium L. Diploid species have a
wide range of polymorphism on morphological and biological characteristics.
Clothing and fabric made of such fiber will not lose their originality for a long time.
Due to its high hygroscopicity and elasticity, fiber of such forms can be used in
pharmaceutical (hygroscopic and cosmetic cotton wool, hygiene products) and in
the spinning industry.
